Northside Church Chicago

In 2010 while pastoring the church they planted and served at in Waukegan, Illinois since 1999, Laudir and Sarai sensed that God was calling them to begin a new work in a new place.  As they gave this sense over to prayer, they came to the conclusion that it was time for them to move to Chicago and adventure with God in planting Northside Church.  Laudir always dreamed of planting a church in his old neighborhood (Logan Square-Bucktown), although he was fully committed to the church in Waukegan.

After a season of prayer and seeking God’s guidance, the Lugo’s transitioned their family out of Waukegan and back to Chicago.  Within a few short months, a handful of friends teamed up and began meeting regularly at the Lugo’s home to pray and prepare for God to equip and empower them to officially launch Northside.  The team God formed united in prayer, mission, and work to launch Northside Church.
